Working with relevant ministries, departments and agencies of the government is an important step in creating the enabling conditions for long-term implementation of NbCS. Recording progress for this indicator requires a simple count of NCTFs that report deeply engaging with government entities to advance agendas for gender-resposnive management of natural resources. Deep engagement refers to an active involvement and commitment between NCTFs and government entites, where both organizations feel a strong connection to shared goals and objectivs. This often involves open communication, giving feedback, inquiry, discussion, a refining process and common understanding between parties involved in an intiative.
